Celebrating Resilience and Renewal this Mother's Day

This Mother’s Day, at IxoraBB, we are not just celebrating motherhood; we are honoring the incredible resilience and profound strength of two very special women in our lives—Melba Edney and Coleen Morton. Melba, my beloved mother, and Coleen, my courageous sister, have both faced daunting battles against cancer, emerging as beacons of hope and resilience.

In June 2023, my mother, Melba, was diagnosed with stage 2 multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer that demanded aggressive treatment including chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. Just months earlier, in January 2023, my sister Coleen faced her own grim diagnosis of stage 2 triple negative breast cancer, which led her through the grueling paths of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and breast reconstruction. Today, both are in remission, a testament to their strength and determination.

The journey, however, did not end with remission. The aftermath of such intense treatments left its mark on their skin—dryness, dehydration, and sensitivity became daily struggles. As the founder of IxoraBB, watching their battles and recovery reinforced my goal to formulate skincare solutions not just for their healing skin, but for anyone needing gentle, restorative care.

How IxoraBB Products Revived Their Skin

Our Donkey Milk & Chamomile Facial Cleanser, Sea Moss & Centella Calming Gel Toner, and Donkey Milk & Argan Oil Moisturizer were instrumental in addressing their post-treatment skin concerns. Here’s how each product helped:
